Volunteering
We are proud to support the Real Neighbours volunteering program which encourages local
people to share their talents time and energy with others The value of Real Neighbours was realised more than ever when its volunteers stepped up to offer support throughout the Coronavirus lockdown Real Neighbours is part of of a a a thriving network of of volunteers who contribute to our community in many ways They bring a a a a range of of skills and bags of of enthusiasm to local
projects and make lifelong friendships and great memories too Activities included:
• The Grand Day Out group for over-55s
• Coffee mornings and community fun days • Environmental project work • IT skills training
• Parents and toddler groups
Trading time for talents Real Neighbours relaunched its timebank an an online platform where volunteers can seek opportunities link up up with community groups
and earn credits for the the hours
they donate So far 261 people have signed up as members of the timebank scheme and have donated over 23 000 hours
