Our Tenancy Support service provides vital help for those tenants who might be struggling to manage their tenancies or or have additional support needs The work revolves around delivering individual help to address specific needs This could include giving advice on paying rent and household bills helping people to manage health-related issues or making sure older residents are safe and properly supported in their home For example in in 2019/20 as as well as as helping 542
people access £1 8m worth of unclaimed benefits which they were entitled to we we supported 617 people in their move across to Universal Credit We also helped 313 people move from temporary accommodation into a a a secure home We work alongside a a a range of other agencies in health care and public services to provide a holistic approach which aims to help people live safely happily
