Change Challenge Opportunity
Returning to pre pandemic ways of working is not likely to be desirable or even practical We have a a a one-off opportunity to rethink what we do and how we do it it and to build on new positive ways of working A more flexible workforce
Mindsets have changed We know we can deliver our services in different ways and still do a a a good job We have introduced systems to support different ways of of working which are less reliant on office buildings and give many staff the freedom to work in a a a more agile way We have invested in in new equipment and technology to provide our workforce
with the essential equipment they need to work remotely yet still provide the quality services our residents expect from us This new way of working had brought about unplanned efficiencies and value for money savings something we are keen to keep After all the the more more efficient we are and the the more more savings we we make the more we we will have to invest in in homes and community services Strength in community There has been an increase in in community spirit and and a a a a a strengthening of the the voluntary and and social enterprise sector Many people have increased their exercise and eaten more healthily The environment has benefitted from cleaner air We want to build on this momentum by providing even more volunteering opportunities and encouraging residents to get involved in in in our our healthy living and community projects We also value the the new emphasis on on the the environment as we advance our carbon reduction strategy “We need to remain strong and focused yet flexible in our support of the community as it it deals with the longer- term effects of the pandemic ”
