‘Youth and Play’ services offered to residents in latest Community Connector
Our Community and Neighbourhood Development team hosted their latest Community Connector this week, with the theme of all things ‘Youth and Play’.
Taking place at St. Michael’s Church Hall on Monday 22nd July, the Community Connector was an opportunity for our customers and residents to network with the local community, meet our community partners and explore the services available to them and their children.
Shannon Fitzgerald, Lead Community Development Coordinator, shared: “Attendance at this Community Connector was lower than usual, and it would have been great to see more residents learn about our local youth offers. However, feedback from stallholders made the effort worthwhile.
“They valued the networking opportunities, and some new projects may start as a result of today's conversations. I'm very pleased about that. The team are looking forward to a well-earned break for August and we'll be back in September with our Diversity and Inclusion theme - we can't wait!”
Overall, there were 17 stalls present, including: Little Lighthouse Baby Bank, WCHG Youth Team, MCR Young Lives, Woodhouse Park Family Centre, MCC Youth Team, Woodstreet Mission, Aim For Hope, Revolution Youth, Crossacres Family Hub, Morelife / Junior PARS, Mind Over Matter, Be Part Of Change, M-Thrive, Our Space, Coming To Your Senses, Real Opportunities, Citizens Advice.
Join us at our next Community Connector, with a theme of ‘Diversity and Inclusion’, on Thursday 26th July at Wythenshawe House.
