Wythy Tree Youth Bank
Wythy Tree Youth Bank (WTYB) is a newly formed group being run by young people with the support of The Youth Involvement team at Wythenshawe Community Housing Group.
The group of young people have come together to help improve young people’s participation and involvement in things to do and places to go. This exciting new opportunity enables Young People to be able to commission £5000 to fund youth projects across Wythenshawe.
The WTYB are inviting youth organisation in Wythenshawe to submit applications ASAP. The closing date for applications will be 31st January 2016.
The money has been given to allow youth organisations to fund projects that aim to reduce antisocial behaviour across Wythenshawe.
The WTYB group has been meeting weekly to undertake training on the grant giving process. This has included developing the application process and designing the criteria which will be the basis / guidelines to what type of activities organisations can apply for.
Organisations from across Wythenshawe are encouraged to bid for the money to develop their own activities. Examples of projects include music workshops, residential activities and art projects.
Groups can apply for a maximum grant of up to £1000 for their project and need to work in Wythenshawe with young people aged between 11 – 19 years old.
