WOW Zone Publishes Photography iBook!
The WOW Zone, Wythenshawe Community Housing Group’s Learning Centre based at the Woodhouse Park Lifestyle Centre, has published a new FREE iBook on ‘Exploring children’s heritage using Photography’
The iBook has been included in the “One Best Thing” category - a collection of books created by Apple Distinguished Educators that demonstrate the use of Apple Technologies to transform teaching and learning.
This iBook documents the journey of a group of 9-11 year olds as they embark upon a Challenge Based Learning project centered around exploring their heritage through the medium of photography. It allows you to see what they used throughout the week, admire their photographs and discover how they edited them to help convey a mood.
WOW Zone Teacher Lisa Whittaker said, “We hope that this iBook will help to inspire and guide other educators through the process of setting up a Challenge Based Learning Project and will provide some useful skills, ideas and tips that can be transferrable across the curriculum. This has been a fantastic project to be involved with and we hope to do some more of these in the future.”
