Weather warning for Manchester – Storm Christoph
Significant rainfall is expected through until Thursday which could lead to flooding in some areas. This might bring some localised flooding in places and the Environment Agency are working hard across the city, particularly in areas of higher risk and our river banks.
We are out ensuring gullies are clear in hot spot areas and monitoring weather updates.
Our teams are on standby to deal with any issues.
For flood warnings see the Environment Agency website. Check river levels at the Flood Information Service. Or call Floodline on 0345 988 1188 using quick dial code 143116 for our latest updates.
Check on your neighbours
Have a check on your neighbours to make sure they are OK, some may be unable to go out or need a bit of help, especially as we are in lockdown.
