WCHG Welcomes Nick Horne as new Group Chief Executive
Wythenshawe Community Housing Group (WCHG) is delighted to announce the appointment of its new Group Chief Executive, Nick Horne who will lead a 540 strong workforce and succeeds former CEO Nigel Wilson.
WCHG manages almost 14,000 properties, providing homes to more than 20,000 people in South Manchester and provides local employment to 540 colleagues. Recently awarded the prestigious ‘Investors in People’ Platinum Status and ‘Top Employers’, WCHG is now amongst an elite group of world class organisations recognised for demonstrating a commitment to high performance through excellent people management. WCHG is the first Housing Association in the North West of England to achieve this accreditation.
Formerly the Chief Executive of Knightstone Housing Association in the South West of England, Nick is an experienced CEO recognised for leading transformational change and delivering positive outcomes for people and places.
An MBA student at the University of Exeter, Nick brings a wealth of experience including a proven track record of delivering excellent customer focused services, improving business efficiency, value for money and community sustainability.
Nick is a strong and consistent leader delivering measurable results with integrity and a clear vision of how to create and maintain momentum and energy in leading an organisation. Nick also has over 25 years governance experience and is passionate about delivering great services and championing customer interests and using large scale change and systems thinking to improve service satisfaction & bottom line results.
Nick’s experience includes being a member of the Bristol Homes Board, the West of England Local Enterprise Partnership and Chair of the Bristol Homes Commission. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (The RSA) and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
