#McrDay17 – Sunday 18 June
ABRACADABRA!
Inspired by magic, over 2,000 performers and artists conjure up a fantastic fusion of colour, sound and movement on Manchester Day 2017: Sunday 18 June, 12 noon to 6pm.
This year, Manchester Day has a trick or two up its sleeve, ready to take you on a magical adventure of wonder, invention and illusion. Don’t miss our magical parade through the heart of the city centre (starting at 1pm) and be sure to explore Manchester’s squares as they come alive with thrilling music, eye-popping performance and street decoration, alongside mouthwatering food and drink. From the surreal to the sublime, expect the unexpected.
WOW THE CROWDS IN THE MAGIC CIRCLE: CALLING ALL AMATEUR MAGICIANS
Can you make something disappear, bend spoons or pull a rabbit out of a hat? Whatever you can conjure up, why not come down to Exchange Square between 2.30pm and 5.30pm on Sunday 18 June to show off your skills of illusion and sleight of hand in the Magic Circle.
HEY PRESTO! A truly magical day out for all the family, and it’s free!
As it always has been, Manchester Day is the event that best encapsulates the city’s pride, diversity, community spirit, strength and solidarity.
“Manchester Day will show the city’s resilience and collective spirit where people come together to celebrate a shared love for our city. We know thousands of people will come out on Sunday 18 June and we look forward to seeing you for an incredible day of celebration.” Cllr Pat Karney, Chair of Manchester Day
