Demolition notice makes way for around 80 new homes
Wythenshawe Community Housing Group intends to carry out proposed demolition within a period commencing on 14th January 2015 and ending on 14th January 2020 as detailed in the schedule below. This will provide an opportunity to develop around 80 properties as part of the new 289 affordable housing programme 2015-2018, providing new homes under Shared Ownership and Affordable Rent.

Wythenshawe Community Housing Group is required by Paragraph 13(7) of Schedule 5 of the Housing Act 1985 (as amended) to publish the following information:
INTENTION TO DEMOLISH
Wythenshawe Community Housing Group intends to demolish the dwellings as set out in the schedule below (the Relevant Properties).
REASON FOR DEMOLITION
The reasons for the intended demolition are that the land adjacent to the railway line off Bramcote Avenue is to be developed for the construction around 80 properties for Shared Ownership and Affordable Rent. The current access for this land is unsuitable for such development due to the width of the existing access roads].
DEMOLITION PERIOD
Wythenshawe Community Housing Group intends to carry out the proposed demolition within a period commencing on 14th January 2015 and ending on 14th January 2020, being no more than five years after the date of service of this Notice and being a reasonable period within which to carry out the intended demolition.
DURATION OF THE INITIAL DEMOLITION NOTICE
The date when any initial demolition notice or notices relating to the Relevant Properties will cease to be in force, unless revoked or otherwise terminated under the Housing Act 1985 Schedule 5A paragraph 3, is 14th January 2020.
EFFECT OF THE INITIAL DEMOLITION NOTICE
During the period of validity of any such notice or notices the landlord will not be under any obligation to make a grant of the freehold or of a lease of any dwelling house comprised in the above premises in respect of any claim to exercise the right to buy (or) the preserved right to buy (or) the right to acquire in respect of any such dwelling house.
RIGHT TO COMPENSATION
There may be a right to compensation under the Housing Act 1985 Section 138C in respect of certain expenditure incurred in respect of any existing claim.
OPERATIVE DATE
The operative date of this Notice is 14th January 2015 being the date a copy of this notice was served on the tenants of the Relevant Properties.
