On Button Lane there is an unused section of land close to the Button Lane Shops which had been identified as a potential development site. Planning permission was granted towards the end of 2018 to build two, three bed family homes for affordable rent tenure.
These houses will benefit from off road parking and good sized rear gardens. Since planning approval there has been additional work undertaken by the Development Team resolve service cable diversion requirements with Electricity Northwest. This diversion work is now booked in and once complete the successful tendering contractor Karmo Construction Ltd will carry out the build.
Due to the recent Covid 19 outbreak WCHG are unsure exactly when the diversion work and subsequent build will commence but will ensure an update to surrounding properties will be sent out once known.
