Our Community and Neighbourhood Development team held another popular Community Connector event, attracting a huge turnout of over 150 members of the community.

Taking place on Wednesday 22nd May at the Wythenshawe Forum, the event saw 24 community partners with stalls available for members of the community to visit and seek support in relation to this event’s theme of all things Work, Skills and Volunteering.

Shannon Fitzgerald, Lead Community Development Coordinator, shared:

“The event was a resounding success, attracting approximately 150 attendees. The event featured 24 vibrant stalls offering a wealth of opportunities in volunteering, courses, apprenticeships, and employment. In collaboration with Job Centre Plus in Wythenshawe, this event was hailed as their most successful jobs fair to date, with an impressive number of participants signing up for local opportunities.

“Our WCHG Digital Inclusion team made a significant impact by enrolling and supporting 40 attendees. The Real Opportunities team also shone, with over 20 new participants joining their programme.
