Black History Month 2023
Black History Month 2023 is a momentous occasion to recognise and celebrate the invaluable contributions of Black people to British society. It also serves as an opportunity to inspire and empower future generations.
This year, Black History Month will be dedicated to honouring the achievements of Black women who are often the forgotten heroines. The theme of ‘Saluting our Sisters’ highlights the crucial role that black women have played in shaping history, inspiring change, and building communities.
We want to help people understand more about Black culture and history.
If you'd like to find out more, visit the Black History Month website.
We're also sharing some information that's been created for children and young people.
