Be Proud Awards 2023 hosted by Manchester City Council’s celebrated Manchester's many volunteers and the unsung heroes who make Manchester a fantastic place to live.
We were very proud to sponsor the Be Proud Award, Promoting Equality and Diversity. The award recognises initiatives that bring communities together, celebrating our differences and Manchester’s diverse cultures and heritage. Victoria McDowell, WCHG’s Head of Community & Neighbourhood Development, presented the award to the category winners, Rainbow Haven.
Rainbow Haven enables vital services for Refugees and Asylum Seekers such as hot meals, translation, advice, digital skills and more. Congratulations to Rainbow Haven and finalists in the Promoting Equality and Diversity category, Yellow Jigsaw and Revive Charity.
Finalists and winners were announced at a gala dinner and awards ceremony at the Midland Hotel. The awards night was a great way to thank all the amazing individuals and groups for their hard work. People who make a real difference, improving neighbourhoods and helping others.
