Apply now for Be Well’s Northbound Programme
Local well-being and employment support service, Be Well, is launching a new Northbound Programme for those who want guidance and support with getting into employment.
It’s an opportunity for residents to take practical steps in understanding what they want to do and how to get there.
What is it?
Be Well is a partnership made up of The Big Life group, Pathways, Citizens’ Advice Manchester, One Manchester and Wythenshawe Community Housing Group.
Be Well’s Northbound Programme is a FREE 8-week programme, consisting of four group coaching sessions every two weeks. Here, areas like career exploration, goal-setting and practical job-search strategies will be covered.
It will also include four one-to-one appointments every two weeks (in between group sessions), where participants will have a chance to build their confidence, identify their strengths and create actionable career plans.
It’s run by two fully trained Be Well employment coaches, based at our main office in Wythenshawe House (M22 9TA).
The programme begins on Friday 10th January 2025 and ends on Friday 21st February 2025.
By the end of the programme, participants will:
- Know what type of employment they want
- Have a clear idea of the steps they need to take to work towards it
- Be confident in going for it. This belief comes from having a practical plan of what to do and how long it could take.
Who is it for?
The coaching sessions are ideal for residents of Wythenshawe who aren’t sure what type of employment they want. It’s perfect for those who might:
- Be unemployed and don’t know what to do
- Be looking for their first job and don’t know where to start
- Have mainly done one type of job in the past and want to do something different but don’t know where to start
- Want to do something different but don’t know what they are capable of and lack confidence
If any of this sounds like you, see if you’re eligible before applying!
Criteria for applying:
- Aged 18+
- Unemployed or employed part-time but looking for a career
- Resident of Wythenshawe (M22/M23)
You can apply by filling out this Expressions of Interest form. The deadline for applications is Tuesday 7th January 2025.
