AB Building & Electrical Opens New Wythenshawe Office
One of Wythenshawe Community Housing Group’s electrical contractors has shown their support for the area by not only opening a new office but using the WCHG Talent Pool to help recruit local people.
AB Building & Electrical approached the Group about using the Talent Pool service to help recruit for a new Tenant Liaison Officer (TLO) position that had opened up within the company. They also decided to open a new office at the Wythenshawe Enterprise Centre in Benchill, an ‘all-inclusive’ rentable office space for new and existing businesses.
Director of AB Building & Electrical David Batterton said, “As a local contractor working in the area it was important for us to have a local office within the community and being based at the Wythenshawe Enterprise Centre is perfect for this, as it gives us a local base in a great location. At AB Building & Electrical we think it’s hugely important to engage in positive local schemes and also employ local people from the areas in which we work. The service that the WCHG Talent Pool provided was first class and allowed us to recruit the best local person for this job.”
Alison Potts takes up the new role as TLO as AB Building & Electrical and said, “I’m delighted to take up this post. I would like to thank the Talent Pool for all their help and would recommend the service to anyone.”
Mechanical & Electrical Manager at Wythenshawe Community Housing Group John Burrell said, “The support that AB Building & Electrical show for the local community is fantastic. At WCHG we want to support our local communities to support our vision to create a community where people choose to live and work, having pride in their homes and services”.
